I CUT MY OWN HAIR! An easy diy hair how-to!

I CUT MY OWN HAIR! An easy diy hair how-to!

You read that right. And yes it’s as scary as it sounds! But it is actually super easy!

I’ve been cutting my own hair since the pandemic started! And now I’m just at the point where it’s just about convenience now with 4 kiddos here and being a full-time sahm and business owner!

You can do it too!

To trim my hair:

I separate my hair into 4 parts and put them in hair ties. I slide the hair tie all the way down to the tips leaving about two inches from the hair tie to the tips.

Then I decide how much I want to take off and cut. I do this to all 4 parts. Then I take one part out and the next part out and compare. Using my first section as a guide, I make sure it’s even. Then I use the second section as a guide for the third section and so on.

To cut bangs:

I gather the amount of hair I want to the front making a round hair part around my forehead. Then I hold it all together and cut at my nose.

Then I cut a little more. Finally, I turn the scissors vertical and just snip the ends randomly.

On the sides I make sure to tier it down to my face.

It doesn’t have to be hard but you just have to take the plunge!!!

We actually splurged and got her some more expensive sets from Amazon but I found this cool inexpensive set at Walmart! My ten year old daughter wanted AirPods (ha!) and our budget didn’t quite allow for the Apple version so we found these on clearance at Walmart that will hopefully work just as good!
